The word “oodle”

Oodle, a sizable pool or amount of something, often abstract and plural, e.g. oodles of fun, oodles of time.

It is kin in sound to both puddle and ooze, which for me nicely captures the quality of the word, a moving liquid that has pooled somewhere.

I would use this word to garnish a sentence, not the star of the show, but a colourfulsidekick that lends some mivement, hyperbole and peculiar-Englishness to a description.
