Afternoons are my sweet spot. Errands and appointments are mostly done. There’s plenty of energy left and my mind’s running at full speed. Over the past few months I’ve been working to dedicate hours to writing in that timeframe.
Giving my creative endeavours a start and end each day has not been easy. The writing itself was alright. I’ve enough practice sitting down and letting words flow. Learning to stop doing everything else is where the fight’s at. My mind has an endless list of distractions to present. It feels risky, too, to commit to something I want to the point where I commit that many hours. Satisfying, too, though.
